Noelan "nonobeats" Allen

I'm Noelan — nonobeats. San Diego born, west coast all my life. Music started early for me: I spent most of my school years in the percussion orchestra, and outside of class I taught myself guitar. In 2016 I finally started my FL Studio journey — and that changed everything.

From 2016 to 2020 I worked closely with an artist I met in high school, and through that I got to make music with a dozen local singers and rappers. That stretch was some of the most fun I've had. But life has its challenges, and sometimes you've got to do what's best for you — so now I'm pouring that same energy into nonobeats.

My sound consists of beautiful, electric instrumentation over powerful, bass-heavy rhythms. It comes from me — from whatever emotion I'm feeling in that moment in time. My music is my life's journal; I'm just not the lyricist. That part I leave to you.

Kendrick Lamar is my favorite artist and a constant inspiration, but I listen to a lot of music and find inspiration everywhere. A few names in heavy rotation right now:
